AGE LIMIT

A candidate should have a complete the age of years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission of the first BHMS degree course.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the quaifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) Conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board in one and the same attempt in the following group of subjects with the minimum eligible marks.(Improvement marks will not be considered).

Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (or) Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY MARKS
General Category

A minimum of 50% marks in aggregae in the Science subjects namely Physics , Chemistry , Biology or Botany and Zoology

Backward Classes

A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the Science namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology.

Most Backward Classes

A minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in the Science namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology.

Scheduled Castes / Tribes

A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the Science namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology.

MODE OF SELECTION
As per the decision of Ministry of Ayush , Admission to B.H.M.S course is based on National eligibility entrance Test (NEET) conducted by an authority designated by the Central Government.
In order to be eligible for admission to undergraduate course for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtian minimum of marks at 50th percentile in the 'National Eligibility Entrance Test for undeergraduate course' held for the said academic year. Provided that in respect of-

Candidates belonging to the scheduled Castes,Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, The minimum marks shall be at 40th Percentile. Candidates with benchmark disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act,2016(49 of 2016),the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile for General Category and 40th percentile for the Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward classes. Explanation-the Percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the all India common merit list in the National Eligibility Entrance Test for the undergraduate courses.

COURSE DURATION

The course shall be of 3 year's duration having two Parts I and II .Part I is of 18 months duration, out of which the first 12 months shall be of compulsary house job.Part II consists of 18 months devoted to speciality subjects.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification in Homeopathy included in the Second Schedulr to the HCC Act after undergoing a course of study of less than five years and six months duration including one year compulsary internship.
